Students in all grade levels celebrated Computer Science Education Week by participating in a world wide event called Hour of Code during their library classes. Students learned about computer programming and coding. Then, they programmed robots and other characters on the computer or ipad by using specific codes to make the character move. Coding requires critical thinking and sequencing skills. It is also a valuable skill to learn due to the amount of high paying jobs available in the computer science field. Thank you to all the parent volunteers that helped make this event successful!
